These awards are given annually from the foundation to the graduate who best represents the program motto of vigilence, knowledge, and compassion and to the graduate who demonstrates exceptional clinical performance.
Emily Decker, ’14, was selected as PANA’s Outstanding Student of the Year last week at the organization’s annual Spring Symposium at the Hotel Hershey last week. The award recognizes a senior student from a Pennsylvania nurse anesthesia program who shows a great commitment to the advancement of the art and science and overall profession of nurse anesthesia. The student must also hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Emily has excelled in her clinical performance and has been very involved with our program’s extracurricular activities as her class’s student representative and is well deserving of this accolade. Everyone at the York College of PA/Wellspan Health Nurse Anesthesia Program is extremely proud of her accomplishments and appreciate her representation of our program in such a positive way.
