Saturday October 21, 2017 was the first annual SOFA FOUNDATION 5K, 10K 1 mile fun run. Great Job Amy! There were more than 60 participles and everyone had a great time.
Thank you to all the volunteers we couldn’t have done it without you!
On Saturday, April 3rd the SOFA Foundation held its first annual Gala Fundraiser Event at The Bond in York. A silent auction and a lock-and-key raffle were the main fundraising events for the evening. The funds raised by the event benefited the SOFA Foundation, which provides financial support to students enrolled in the York College of Pennsylvania Nurse Anesthetist Program. Some examples of the SOFA Foundation’s support include:
- reimbursing each student for turnpike tolls when traveling to and from Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA
- awarding scholarships to junior and senior students that exemplify clinical and professional excellence
- supporting expenses at the annual Allegheny Anesthetist education conference, graduation dinner, and summer orientation picnic
Of course, the evening also provided an opportunity for alumni, students and faculty to reconnect and network. Needless to say, the event was a huge success!
