Richard E. Haas

Ph.D, CRNA, PHRN 

Dr. Haas founded the York College of PA/WellSpan Health Nurse Anesthetist Program in 2005.  He served as Program Director from 2005 to 2018.  His teaching experience is vast and includes local, state, national, and international professional presentations. In addition Dr. Haas has written and published  numerous articles in journals as well as chapters for anesthesia and nursing textbooks.

Dr. Haas earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Georgetown University in 1976.  He earned a Master of Education Human Services (Ed. M.), Management Track at Boston University (Overseas Division), Vicenza, Italy, in January 1983.  He graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo / US Army Anesthesiology for Army Nurse Corps Officers Course, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas (Phase I), William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas (Phase II) in December 1985.  Dr. Haas went on to earn a Doctorate in Educational Research and Measurement from the University of South Carolina in 2003.
