Richard E. Haas
PhD, CRNA, Professor
The United States Army Anesthesiology for Army Nurse Corps Officers / State University of New York at Buffalo School of Nursing awarded Dr. Haas a Master of Science in the Nursing Anesthesia Program in 1985. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Georgetown University (1976), a Master’s Degree in Education (1981), and a Doctorate in Educational Research and Measurement from the University of South Carolina (2005).
Dr. Haas is employed by WellSpan Health specifically to Assist the nurse anesthetist program and holds a faculty appointment at York College. Dr. Haas was the assistant program director at the Medical College of Georgia Nursing Anesthesia Program. His teaching experience is vast, and includes local, state, national, and international professional presentations, along with numerous articles in journals and chapters for anesthesia and nursing textbooks. He teaches many of the courses in first year of program, as well as additional seminars throughout the program.
